Priyaa’s Beauty Parlour was started by makeup artist Ramapriya Manikandan in 2013. It grew fast from a small 100 sq ft space to a big 1500 sq ft salon in Perambur by February 2015, thanks to excellent service and happy clients.

About MakeUp Artist
Ramapriya Manikandan, founder of Priyaas Beauty Parlour, Perambur. Leading makeup artist based out of Chennai. Ramapriya Manikandan was passionate towards makeup from age 5, when she started using lipstick for her lips and eye shadow for her eyes. Her makeup knowledge and interest was encouraged by her sisters. Unknowingly, her interest towards make up grown along with her. After 10th she was unable to express her make up interest to her parents; she was forced to take the Commerce group in High school and Graduation in commerce, but she was not very successful in her high school and college. But she never use to forget her make up knowledge in high school and college life, she always attend annual day with grand make up. Till college she use to do make up on her own. Due to house situation, She started her carrier in as junior accountant in jewel making factory where she gained knowledge in administration and accounts For higher income she later took tele- calling job where she worked under various banks. Where she gained her marketing skills and communication skills.
In 2007 Her sister Uma priya started a small parlour in Anna nagar shanthi colony where she goes during holidays and learnt other parlour work like facials, pedicure, manicure etc.,
Post getting marriage she was continuing her tele calling job in share market agencies and gave birth to girl child and enjoyed her motherhood days with daughter.
But she never gave up her interest towards make up, this time with out hesitation she expressed her interest to her husband when her husband ask about her life goal. In 2012 she joined in 3 month make up class with Kothari institute under Ms. Shanaz (Her first Make up guru), post completion she was doing free lancing where she use to travel and was doing door step parlour services – some time for Rs. 200 pedicure service she use travel 10 kms.
After one year she expressed her interest in opening a small parlour at Perambur where she lives. In 2013 1st November, she opened her 1st Parlour under Brand name “Priyaas Beauty Parlour” with 100 Sq ft in Perambur when she was carrying 5 month baby. The entire family except her father and husband was not confident on opening parlour. But against hurdles she opened her parlour with one staff and she was tireless working for the success of parlour for 5 months till her delivery. Even after giving birth to 2nd daughter she was in constant touch with her staff and engaging herself in parlour business. Due to good service and demand from client she opened her 2nd branch in perambur this time it is bigger a 1500 sq. ft parlour in Feb 2015. She was constantly upgrading herself, she went to Gujrat to attend make up class conducted by Ms. Urvashi dave & Richa dave (Her Second Make up Guru). She conduct make up work shop at her parlour and shares her knowledge and business technique.
Award & Recognition.
She got best beautician award 2018 from My beauty club and Best entrepreneur award 2018 in beauty industry. She got celebrity make up artist award from SIBA (South Indian Beauty Association) in 2019 She got Best Beautician award in North chennai from Lions club (North chennai) in 2019. And received various recognition and award in Short period of time.
Future goal
Make up artist Ramapriya manikandan goal is start upgrade herself constantly and also share her knowledge to all beautician and young girl who want to take up beautician as their carrier. And she wants to uplift the talent and entrepreneurship skills from all women who want to succeed in their life. Want to support and promote Natural product in beauty cosmetics world to support green earth awareness. Aims to expand her parlour business under brand “Priyaas beauty parlour” in North chennai. Aims to reach 1000 client per month by 2023 and provide employment to many staff and train more freshers under Brand name ‘ Priyaas Beauty Parlour”
